For many young people in Arunachal Pradesh, the idea of building a career abroad has often felt distant. While opportunities exist, navigating language requirements, training, interviews, and overseas employment processes can seem overwhelming without the right guidance.

This is why structured international career pathways are becoming increasingly important.

On 18 February 2026, Genrise Global Staffing Pvt. Ltd., in association with the Directorate of Medical Education, Training & Research, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, organized a felicitation and welcome ceremony titled “Genrise in Bloom: A Celebration of New Journeys & Growth” for students enrolled in the SSW Careworker – Japan Program (Batches 2025 & 2026).

Held in Itanagar, the event brought together over 130 participants, including current students, parents, parents of candidates already working in Japan, government officials, and prospective candidates interested in international career opportunities.

The strong participation reflected the growing trust in structured, skill-based pathways that connect local talent with global employment opportunities.

Bringing Opportunities Closer to Home

One of the most significant takeaways from the event was the growing confidence among students and families in pursuing international careers through organized pathways.

The participation of parents, alumni families, and prospective candidates highlighted an important shift. Working abroad is no longer being viewed as an uncertain leap, but as a planned journey supported by training, preparation, and institutional partnerships.

The ceremony began with the welcome of dignitaries by Shri Pawan Damani, VP – Business Development, Genrise Global Staffing Pvt. Ltd., followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. Students also presented a welcome song and a cultural dance performance, celebrating both their local identity and their aspirations for a global future.

Creating Clearer Pathways to International Careers

Addressing the gathering, Shri Pawan Damani spoke about Genrise’s commitment to building ethical, transparent, and structured career pathways for candidates from Arunachal Pradesh and the wider North East region.

During the event, Genrise also formally proposed the introduction of the Integrated Care Giver (ICG) Program, a pathway designed to create overseas employment opportunities for non-nursing candidates as well. The proposal was presented to the Government of Arunachal Pradesh and the Directorate of Medical Education, Training & Research for consideration.

From Training to Employment: Progress So Far

The event also highlighted the progress already achieved through the SSW Careworker – Japan initiative.

Smt. Swati Manral, Manager – Marketing & Sales (Japan Business), Genrise Global Staffing Pvt. Ltd., shared that more than 27 candidates from Arunachal Pradesh have already been successfully placed in Japan under the program.

In addition, a batch of 41 candidates is currently undergoing training and is expected to be deployment-ready by September.

The presentation gave attendees a detailed overview of the process, including Japanese language training, technical preparation, interviews, and placement support, helping candidates and families better understand what lies ahead.

Turning Preparation into Real Opportunities

A key aspect of any international career pathway is the connection between training and employment.

Representatives from Zenken Corporation, Genrise’s Japanese placement partner, attended the event and interacted directly with candidates. During their visit, interviews were conducted with shortlisted students, and selected candidates were issued Conditional Offer Letters.

For many attendees, this demonstrated how structured preparation can translate into real employment opportunities.

It also reinforced the importance of strong partnerships between training providers, employers, and institutions in ensuring successful outcomes for candidates.

Looking Beyond the First Five Years in Japan

One of the most valuable discussions during the event focused on long-term career growth. During an interaction session, Dr. Hage Ambing, Director, Directorate of Medical Education, Training & Research, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, highlighted the importance of creating a roadmap for candidates beyond their initial tenure in Japan.

In response, Genrise explained that candidates who successfully clear the Japanese National Examination for Certified Care Workers (Kaigo Fukushishi) become eligible to transition to the Care Worker residence status in Japan.

This pathway offers significant long-term advantages, including:

  • Renewable long-term residence in Japan
  • Continued career progression opportunities
  • Eligibility to bring spouse and children
  • Greater professional and financial stability

This discussion highlighted that the caregiving pathway is not limited to short-term employment but can evolve into a long-term international career for candidates willing to continue their professional development.

As international workforce mobility continues to grow, programs like these are helping ensure that candidates are not only able to access opportunities abroad but are also prepared to succeed in them.
